Imad Ahmed has advised Ministers, Permanent Secretaries and Director Generals in 22 Rwandan government institutions as a World Bank-funded consultant in the Rwandan government’s Public Private Partnership transactions unit. He has assisted the Government of Rwanda in closing 8 PPP deals, and in closing-out many more.
Previously, he worked on 7 transactions that closed with TLG Capital and the Duet Group’s Africa Private Equity division as an Investment Associate. One of these in Uganda won Private Equity Africa’s Small-Cap Deal of the Decade, while another in Ethiopia was runner-up Mid-Cap Deal of the Year.
He has published op eds in The New York Times/International Herald Tribune, Internationale Politik, The Guardian, GQ India, Pakistan’s The Friday Times, Singapore’s New Strait Times and The Boston Globe.
He has also previously worked for women’s rights in Pakistan.
Imad read International Finance and International Business Law as a Schmidheiny Global Business Scholar at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University (MIB), and at HEC Paris. At Berkeley he read Economics (BA).
